St. Abraam’s Community Service
St. Abraam’s Community Service Ministry is a program dedicated to serving those in need in our community. The service is named after St. Abraam, a contemporary Coptic Orthodox Saint who lived in the 20th century in Egypt. St. Abraam was known as the “Friend of the Poor” giving all that he had to anyone who asked, regardless of background and without questioning or judgment.
We strive to imitate this great Saint within this service and we are always looking for help within our programs. Send us a message if you would like to connect!
For more information on his life please see the following link: https://www.suscopts.org/resources/literature/296/anba-abraam-late-bishop-of-fayoum-merciful-and-giv/
“They desired only that we should remember the poor, the very thing which I also was eager to do” Galations 1:10
Orthodox Faith Course
Enhance your understanding of the Bible and Orthodox beliefs by joining the St. Paul Orthodox Faith Course! Topics include the reliability of the Bible, synopses of each book in the Bible, the ecumenical councils, dogma, comparative theology, and the sacraments. The class materials include detailed PowerPoints and engaging video presentations of the material. God-willing after completing this course, you will feel more confident in your knowledge of the Old and New Testaments, in explaining Orthodox doctrine compared to other faiths, and in giving a defense for the reason for the hope that is in you.
Hymns Academy
The Orthodox Church has a great collection of beautiful hymns that span over 20 centuries. In the Hymns Academy, we strive to teach these ancient hymns to all peoples so that with one accord we may praise God together. The Hymns Academy is open and free for all to participate. We meet almost every Saturday night, for one hour at 5:30 pm. If you are interested please register below and we will be in contact with you shortly!
